British actor Fady Elsayed will be taking a leading role in the highly anticipated BBC Three and BBC Worldwide Doctor Who spin-off, Class.

The show, from acclaimed writer Patrick Ness, focuses on the pupils of Coal Hill school in present-day London, where danger is breaking through the walls of time and space. Elsayed, who plays the character Ram, got his first break in the independent film My Brother the Devil, which won him a Best Newcomer nomination at the London Film Festival 2012. He later went on to star in the final instalment of Noel Clarke’s Hood film trilogy, Brotherhood. Further film credits include Brit flicks Sixteen and Twenty8k.
